I Never Wanted a Gold Watch — Just This Thirty-five years ago when I started my career, I put bicycling across the U.S. — hopefully to benefit a great cause—at the top of my “Bucket List”. I never wanted a gold watch when I retired, just the chance to do this bike trip, while raising awareness and money for something in which I believe.

Neutons and Biking — More in Common than You Might Imagine

I’ve routinely logged over 1,000 miles every summer biking to work— over 35,000 commuting miles in total. Every 1,000 miles that Americans bike rather than drive, reduces CO2 by 87 lbs, carbon monoxide by 48 lbs, and hydrocarbons by 5.6 lbs.

Similarly, every customer who uses a Neuton instead of a gas mower prevents emissions of these same pollutants. To date, all Neuton owners have cumulatively prevented over 45 million lbs. of carbon dioxide from entering our skies.

The air pollution that these activities help reduce is medically linked to chronic lung diseases, heart attacks and strokes. Over 35 million Americans have chronic lung disease. Nearly 400,000 die annually.

Our Goal: Raise $25,000 for the American Lung Association

Together with our corporate sponsors - Neuton and VBT - the Own Your Air USA ‘09 Tour has already raised $10,000 in contributions to The American Lung Association.
